All thesis/dissertation templates, specifications, etc., can be located at the Office of Graduate Studies Web Site.

Editing

Technical editing is available for theses, dissertations, journal articles, proposals, and other kinds of professional writing. Graduate students may stop by the Writing Center at their convenience to fill out an information sheet and drop off their double-spaced document. An editor will read the document, make suggestions, and then contact the student to set up a mandatory face-to-face meeting. At that meeting, the editor and student will look over the suggested changes together and discuss the reasons for those changes. Editors at the Writing Center focus exclusively on writing style; they cannot be held responsible for the content of any document.

If you would like your students to take advantage of this resource, please encourage them to visit the Writing Center as soon as possible. Documents are edited in the order received, and certain times of the semester (especially the end) are particularly busy. So, please remind students to allow plenty of time for this process. Students will not be charged a fee for any Writing Center service.

We will not have an editor on staff between mid-June and the beginning of FS08.
