Favorite Thing About Tutoring: Improving my own writing and meeting new people. I’ve tutored quite a few people I have classes with, so it’s a good way to get to know people I might not have otherwise.

Greatest Writing Challenge: Procrastination. This problem isn’t limited to just my writing, sadly.

Favorite Thing About Tutoring: Brainstorming, and those lightbulb moments.

Greatest Writing Challenge: It's sometimes difficult not to repeat ideas. Usually, each paper deals with one subject, and it's hard not to refer back to previous paragraphs or statements too much. It's all connected! It's hard not to point that out at times.

Major: Psychology, with a minor in Biology and an emphasis in Cognitive Neuroscience.

Favorite Food: Pasta (Italian and Asian style are both wonderful).

Favorite Video Game: Portal 2:  If more games were like this, I would be a gamer.

Greatest Phobia: Things in the bathroom that have a biological (yet otherwise unknown) origin.

Favorite Thing About Tutoring: Not sure yet; probably the friendly atmosphere of the Writing Center.

Greatest Writing Challenge: Putting ideas in a logical order and flowing smoothly from one point to another.

Favorite Thing About Tutoring: Being able to help other students improve their writing, and working a great group of people.

Greatest Writing Challenge: Following my outline and not writing things that aren’t related to the thesis.

Favorite Color: My favorite colors are those of my fraternity: garnet and gold.

Favorite Food: I really enjoy barbecued pork steak; it reminds me of the summer and my childhood.

Favorite Video Game: I don’t play video games horribly often, but Halo 3 is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Greatest Phobia: Although I am not obsessively afraid of anything tangible, I have a fear of not succeeding.

Favorite Thing About Tutoring: I enjoy being someone people can rely on.  As a tutor, I can help people gain something that they might not have had before—a realization that they can, with a little bit of work, produce great papers.

Greatest Writing Challenge: I have realized that there is no such thing as a perfect paper; there are too many opinions out there.  I believe that the best way to overcome this is to write the best possible paper; write and rewrite until you are proud of your work and the due date has arrived.

Favorite thing about tutoring: Learning from mistakes other than my own. It’s nice failing and getting better because of it, but there’s definitely something to be said for the joy of skipping my own problems and getting straight to the self-improvement.

Greatest Writing Challenge: Wordiness. I get a little grandiose at times when I become interested in something.
