Tutoring

Our staff of trained tutors will be happy to help you:

• Review your assignment with you, to make sure it is clear to you  
• Generate ideas for a topic  
• Outline your paper  
• Format a lab report  
• Cite your sources correctly 
• Develop a thesis statement  
• Develop a strong argument  
• Work on sentence-level errors: i.e., grammar, punctuation, mechanics 

 But we will not:

• Edit your paper line-by-line  
• Write your paper for you  
• Make any guarantees about the grade you'll receive (although we can say, with certainty, that you'll be better off for visiting us!)  

Make an appointment or just walk-in!

It is always best to make an appointment during "crunch" times, like right before midterms and finals; use of the Writing Center is especially heavy during those weeks. To make an appointment, e-mail or call us at (573) 341-4436. You can also drop-in and see us at 113 Campus Support Facility during our regular hours Sunday through Friday.
